Hot Chocolate

One day when we had played outside for about an hour, I introduced Hot Chocolate. I explained that since it was really cold out and we had been playing outside for a long time, we were going to have a treat. Somewhere along the way, the cold outside and playing for a long time got lost.

This afternoon, we went around the neighborhood to deliver Aly's birthday invitations. Mind you, it is 40 out and we had been outside for all of 10 minutes. Our conversation went like this:

A: Mom, when we go inside I think I really need some hot chocolate and fruity snacks

M: Aly, it is not even really that cold, and we have not been outside that long. Plus hot chocolate is for really cold days, like when it is snowing and Mom hopes there are not going to be any more of those.

A: Don't worry mom, I will be really cold when I go inside. Plus fruity snacks, they warm me up inside.

Update on Brianna

We spent two hours at the pediatrician this morning. Brianna has some fluid in her lungs and the combination of the asthma and the fluid is making it hard to breathe. She is holding her own right now and we are hoping to make it through the night and she will turn the corner.

Here are a few pictures of us swimming last week

Here we go again....

We are off to the pediatrician this morning. Apparently our three weeks of good health has caught up with us. Brianna was up all night with a horrible cough.

Hopefully it is treatable and not one that just needs to run the course.

Timber Gyms

We spend at least one day a week at this place, it is an indoor play area. It was really crowded this week as it is school vacation, but the girls really like the play structures.

Check out the static with Brianna's hair.

Best Friends

So our dogs are best friends. They are brothers and have rarely been separated. Well, Brianna decided that she wanted in on the action. Every morning she comes down with me and we feed the dogs. When I tell them to sit before eating, she sits too. She shares her snack with them after nap, and loves to chase them or lay on them.

Thankfully they are tolerant....especially when it involves sharing snacks.

She really is not eating dog food as it looks like in the picture above.

Pure Commotion

In NH, it is always nuts, kids everywhere, adults everywhere, food everywhere.....You get the idea. My dad got a new camera - one that I really like a digital SLR. So we had a good time shooting the events of the afternoon.

We made cookies

Brianna helped - can you tell?

In all of the craziness Callum just chilled.

Here is some of the mayhem.

Do we look tired yet.

Busy Week

So this has been a super busy week, I have had things most mornings which have made me have to actually get up and shower at a decent time. We are headed to NH this weekend which I am really excited about.

I did want to share this story from earlier this week. Aly and I were sitting on the couch reading a book while Brianna was napping and she said," Momma why you always wear your pajamas"

BUSTED

Yep, if we have no plans during the day, I stay all day in my fleece pants and sweatshirt. So I told her, "Mommy likes comfy clothes" She promptly went upstairs and changed into her pajamas after telling me she liked comfy clothes too.

Of course, hers were silky purple pajamas and she did inform me that they were still beautiful.

Ohhh to be 3.

Pizza Anyone???

We were going to travel to NH this weekend, but with all of the sickness in our family we decided to stay put.. We invited our friends over to make pizza on Sat night so that the girls could have a playmate for a while. They have not been out too much since I have a decent cold.
We let the "older girls" make the pizza - yep sauce, cheese and more cheese. I am sure there was a little taste testing going on.

You know you have been a parent for a while when you make your kids strip before eating anything that involves sauce...

In other news, I raised my first $1000 for my Team in Training event. I am really nervous about meeting my fundraising goal, I think more nervous than completing the event. Feel free to send your donations..... :)

PARTY in the back

We have a problem - Brianna has a mullet. I am not sure what to do - Aly's hair grew faster but Brianna's hair just seems to be growing longer in the back.

SISTERS.....

First, two post in one day - AMAZING.

Second - What started out as a nice photo shoot.....

Resulted in this.... Can you tell that we have not been outside for a while....

Sick kids and sick Mom

Hopefully we are on the mend but it has been a hard week at the Millers. Both girls has sinus/bronchitis issues and are on medicine. On Tuesday, my cough got worse and I ended up with antibiotics to help with a sinus infection and bronchitis.

Poor Ryan has been the only one somewhat healthy and trying to keep everything together. Hopefully we will be able to rid our house of sickness once and for all this winter.

I heard on the radio yesterday that we are half way through winter. I used to like winter, but after being holed up in our house for so long with sickness, I am glad to see we are over the hump.

Hopefully my charming kids will be better soon.

Early Morning

This was what time it was Monday morning, when Brianna decided that she needed a snack...... I let her talk in her crib for a while and then tried to rock her back but Cheerios were calling her name apparently, so off we went

Hanging out on the island, with some milk and cheerios, apparently life does not get much better. After snack, she promptly went back to sleep.
