WELCOME 2014...and I am stoked for a new year and new goals. I am also super excited to announce that I was chosen to be part of the Coeur Sports ambassador team.
I found out about Coeur this summer and I really liked their awesome designs. The message that they send to the female athlete is by far one of the most positive and inspiring messages around:

We are lucky to get out before the new year and by late Feb it will be over. I find that I often ride a fine line in the balance of family sport and training. On Friday, I swam two lanes down from the kids swim team so that our workouts conicided. As we are wrapping up the holiday season...we are full of love, gifts and SUGAR. This of course is probably my most favorite night of the year. The kids love the tradition and it is just a great celebration of family and friendship.
This year we added the gingerbread man to our merry little gingerbread party...and everyone had tons of fun with it.

GINGERBREAD! My most favorite day of the year is here!!! We started this tradition when we moved to PA...as a way to meet others and it has grown to an annual tradition and our kids love it.

Group programming can be a hard egg to crack. When I left Fleet Feet in October, and then the store closed I was not sure if the group programs would take off. The momentum of the groups carry the individual programs as a business moves, sometimes the enthusiasm gets lost in the transition. So when we put together the 2014 schedule, I was nervous to see what kind of initial The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-34061667671202892552013-12-11T21:51:00.002-05:002013-12-11T21:51:59.298-05:00Blessings
This might be my most favorite time of year! For many reasons but I love winter and the joy that it brings!
I have no idea why it is snowing in the pictures but it is really pretty cool...if only I was savvy enough to figure out what I did.
apparently it stopped here.
We enjoyed a day off school, good friends and cookies and it was just a perfect day.

Let the festivities begin...
We are busy entrenched in the holiday cheer, Christmas trees, and GINGERBREAD.

We had a great trip to NH..fast and furious but fun and festive as well. The kids are excited to get a tree and get this party started!

After IMLP, I had grand plans to run all fall...not really long but lots of running. Apparently, life had other plans. With kids in swim team, changing jobs, and getting hurt there was not a ton room for running. For the past two weeks, I have been back at it and it is GREAT!
The best part of running more of course is running with friends. Somehow November has escaped me...between the swim team, wrapping up fall training programs, and activities it seems that we are always on the go.
Hopefully over then next few weeks things will slow down a little and we can catch our breath. The fall weather has been amazing here and we have been taking advantage of great weather and outdoor fun.
Tomorrow we are having The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-11380832574883248352013-11-10T09:16:00.000-05:002013-11-10T09:16:13.078-05:00Where has November GONE?
All of the sudden it is the middle of November...WHHHAATTTT???
We have been tearing it up in honor of Brianna's 6th birthday! She had a blast...a party at the zoo and a small trip to Great Wolf Lodge made her week complete.
I got away for a brief weekend with friends...it was nice to drink coffee and be able to get up after 9
We traveled to the house that The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-53495278594893766942013-10-28T13:51:00.000-04:002013-10-28T13:58:49.704-04:00Taking the LEAP!

This fall, I am taking a leap of faith and branching out. In November, I am leaving Fleet Feet Sports and I am taking a position at Total Performance...and truthfully...I am SOOOO excited!

I think it is pretty apparent...that I consider myself blessed.
Over the past few years we seem to have settled into a routine and life here in PA. We have great friends and we spent the weekend at birthday parties and farm festivals...and we took a moment to take a few family photos! It seems like everytime I go to post....life passes by...between swim team, school, preschool and upcoming birthdays we have been swamped.
And of course we have been working hard when dad is home. I have never met a little boy so smitten with his dad...maybe because he gets to do fun things like climb on the roof.
All is good...and we are good and that makes a happy The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-22952810906646121152013-10-13T21:07:00.000-04:002013-10-13T21:07:05.750-04:00Keeping Moving...sort of
Getting excited and ready to jump back into training....and boom...I end up out of the game. Last Sunday, I rolled my ankle on the trail...and it was a BUMMER. I missed the 10 mile race today and likely will miss the half marathon I was planning on in November.
That has not kept us sedentary though....we are enjoying fall and all the festivities that go along with that...The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-68429689069865320182013-10-03T17:21:00.000-04:002013-10-03T17:21:04.529-04:00View from my run
I am not a treadmill lover...at all. Sometimes single parenting during the week makes this a necessary evil.
I got up at 5 yesterday morning to get in a run that I needed to concentrate on...and look who joined me shortly after.....
he swung from the TRX like a monkey....and he loves being in the basement
it was all good until he sat on the edge of this...the treadmill...The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-53785924500969534682013-09-29T20:11:00.001-04:002013-09-29T20:11:15.947-04:00Our Apple Picking PR Last fall we picked apples multiple times....and we used every last one. We made apple sauce, apple muffins, and of course apple crisp. This year we decided to PR our apple picking in one trip. 120lbs of apples....ready to go. The boxes are a little overwhelming at the moment. I made one apple crisp....which was gone right after dinner. Last weekend we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We were planning on going away for a few days to escape the craziness of our kids and lives...but in the end we ended up in CT. We still own the 6 apartments that we bought when we were first married...and we have been trying to get up there every month or so but they were in need of some TLC.
This was our first The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-75512015201838634232013-09-20T21:02:00.003-04:002013-09-20T21:02:58.339-04:00September...there it goes
Somehow the month escaped me...maybe because this is how I spent most of this month...
reigning in this crazy child...this was how he did fall crafts...I hold my breath every day I pick him up at school ....surely this is not acceptable

School has finally started and we are slowly getting back into a routine.....some of us...Jackson remains my only one home in the afternoon...and he is LOVING his momma time...and I am enrolling him in every class possible...boys are just so different.
It only took Aly a mere 5 days to pick out the first day of school ensemble...and the night before required a panicked trip to the store for The Miller Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18155654122825693817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009036367316914206.post-45673433021076246472013-08-21T20:25:00.000-04:002013-08-21T20:25:05.348-04:00Summer Fun
While our midwest cousins went back to school we are still savoring the moments of summer....we enjoyed a trip to NH where we made it to the top of Mt Washington! Slip and slides and good old fashioned go cart fun.
We have been riding bikes and enjoying the simple summer days and not running around crazy....
