We finished the half marathon and felt pretty good afterwards. The weather was amazing, it was cool and breezy, and perfect for running. We set out to finish and had a great run finishing in 2:24. My secret goal was to finish in about 2:30 so that was fantastic. It was awesome to have a great running partner - my dad. The last couple of years we have not been able to coordinate a long race run due to injuries or pregnancies. This was great to be able to do this!
There was supposed to be a race field of 1200 runners for the half, I am sure that you can't see in our picture, but our numbers were 1199 and 1200!
After the race, we headed to get the girls pumpkins, Aly liked the swing at the farm and Brianna was content eating leaves. They love being at Nona and Bumpas house!

It was a great day for a race but the best part was to be able to run it with Stacey. My running had fallen off over the last few weeks and I thought I would be satisfied to finish in 3 hours. Stacey kept me going and pulled me in a lot quicker. The best part of the race was to run it with her. Thanks Stacey. Let's do it again.
We got back to the house and during lunch I felt light headed and went up and crashed for a few hours. When I woke up Ryan was finishing mowing the lawn which had been badly neglected. Thanks Ryan.
I could not have had a better weekend - a great race with my daughter, lawn mowed by a wonderful son-in-law and precious time spent with two wonderful granddaughters.

Sounds like a great weekend! Was it close to 10 years ago that we cheered Dad on in the Boston Marathon -- wow?!
