We had a great halloween after a long week! Power has finally come back to parts of Lansdale. We spent part of the morning moving brush for neighbors. There are so many trees down it is crazy, we still have a bunch of roads closed and many stores are still out of power. Hopefully we are on the mend!

HOUSEbound
So the Frankenstorm is here and we have been housebound all day. I ventured out early this am when the rain was not too bad. Ryan went out a little later to see about batteries...that was a failed trip.
Everything is shut down, the roads, schools and the worst is expected tonight. I was just excited that we made it through the day with power!
Here are some pics from the school bonfire and pumpkin carving...tomorrow we are housebound as well so maybe I will get caught up with everything.

A whole lot going on...
So we had our family pictures done last weekend..and this was one of my favorite. It truly shows the three kids personalities perfect. No more than 5 minutes after we got to the park Brianna had fallen and tripped over a root and put a huge stain on her tights. Totally classic move for her. Jackson HAD to wear his fire truck shoes that lit up, and Aly...the feet crossed and sandals with jewels tells you she's all girl!
While we were there there was a photography class that took some pictures of the kids. One of the gentlemen said he would email me the pictures. I gave him my email and we parted ways...I had his pen and when I looked around they were gone. Later on that night I got a text from my friend Sarah who took the pics. Apparently the pen was valuable and needed to be returned. I called the gentleman and he came to our house to get it.
Ryan was MAD that I gave him our address....he thought it all sounded shady. Apparently the guy is a neurosurgeon and has written prescriptions for the last 20 years with it...who knew!
So fast forward, Monday night I am here alone with the kids..and wouldn't you know the house alarm goes off at 1:30 am. SCARED me to death...all I could think about was it must be that guy - HA...it was a short in the wiring and it went off again this morning but lesson learned.
We are busy to the hilt with birthdays, halloween and fun fall stuff!

A weekend of FUN!
We had a great weekend! Ryan and I celebrated our anniversary - late I know. We had decided to go away for the night, which is not really all that easy with little kids and no family locally. I have a great sitter who was willing to stay with them so off we went on Saturday afternoon to Atlantic City.
We did a little shopping, had a great dinner out that was so awesome. We ate at a seafood place that was good but even better was the no rushing through dinner because everyone was done before we started. We finished dinner around 10 pm - which normally I am in bed and fast asleep! We hit the casino which we have not done in ages and covered our dinner and our room - always good to win!
It is hard with Ryan being gone during the week and the studying on top of that for this exam in November has stretched things thin. It was so nice to sleep in on Sunday and go get breakfast without having to worry about kids in tow!
So below it our one pic before we hit the casino - good thing we were smiling after too - HA
and then Sunday came and we were back in the craziness! We had family pictures scheduled for the afternoon and pumpkin picking date following that...as soon as we were home we were off and running! So I am really glad we got away and enjoyed a short 24 hours...but it was fun to be back with this crew!

October Fun
Lots more apples from NH this weekend! We were busy at the pumpkin festival and the apple orchards. I think we are finally done picking this fall - 180 lbs total....I need to get to work in the kitchen I guess. Lots of applesauce to be made.
We had a whirlwind trip....to NH and CT...we were able to catch up with friends and work on the apartments some. We headed back to PA on Monday and thankfully we are staying put until Thanksgiving....well except for a fun little solo trip I have planned in November.
Running is going..I was able to hit the trails for a couple of hours in NH...and it makes the fall season that much better when you can run outside off the pavement.
We started working on Halloween costumes this afternoon...so I will leave you in suspense!
