Sometimes you just have to put one layer at a time on. We have been busy this past week. A whirlwind visit to the hospital where we spent the weekend. Turns out Jackson is giving me a run for my money. This delivery has been harder than the girls.
The girls have been great. They are enjoying spending time with their grandparents. I think they won't know what to do once everyone leaves. Jackson has been doing well, he stayed with me at the hospital for the weekend where he enjoyed some time with dad and his first bath!
We are all doing well. We had a minor setback and return to the Dr. today, but hopefully my recovery will be a little smoother now. Brianna spent some of the afternoon hanging out with Jackson. She likes to hold him, we were trying to wake him up, and a little rough big sister was just what he needed.
She got to read to him
She was soo cute, telling him all about the book. Lifting each flap and showing him the picture. He was thoroughly entertained as you can see...
Since our arrival home this weekend, we have managed to keep everyone occupied. Sat morning there was a road race that ran by our house. It is definitely on my calendar to run next year. I did not make it out but the cheering squad did....
Ryan and his mom took the girls to the North Wales street fair on Sat. The girls had a blast on the inflatables.
The girl has NO FEAR!
Saturday afternoon Aly went to a birthday party. It was so nice as our friends volunteered to take her, which was great. They came back to the house and played with dress up
Gianna got to hold Jackson - they both are so cute!
Jackson and I, we just laid low. He did a lot of this.....
Except when he was partying at 1 am in the morning, every once in a while, he let us know that he was checking out his new surroundings....
Already a thumbsucker..........Jackson and I spent our last "peaceful" night here and will head home at some point today. He is a good boy, it is so weird to be saying BOY. Blue decended on our house quickly thanks to our great friends.
He is doing well, good nurser and sleeper. Already spit out the pacifier to let me know that he is in charge. I am super glad that we have help the next couple of weeks as the girls energy did not dull with the arrival of their brother. I am sure we will have tons on pictures to come.
To Labor and Delivery - this post is for all that think I am missing because we have had the baby!!! Hello, I have never went on time, our babies love the womb and have no desire to vacate. Will keep you updated on the pending arrival!!!!!
What an amazing day. We ventured to the Philadelphia Zoo - the weather was great, the zoo was not crowded at all. We bought a season pass it was that good. We started out the morning with Aly directing, heading right for the Hot Air Balloon ride. It is a tethered hot air balloon.
Here is our view of Center City Philadelphia from the balloon:
and George the camel - they thought that was so fun!
They are doing a large Lego exhibit - these monkeys are all made out of Legos - the girls got to collect cards from each one.
So we spent some time this afternoon cultivating and watering our plants so that they would grow. Grandma is in town which makes it all good for the arrival of Miller #3. Tomorrow we are headed to the zoo - hopefully the animals will scare the baby out.
We are teaching Aly how to weed - she loves to pick the acorns that have seeded out of the mulch.
This is the dress that I made Brianna - she is so cute!
The weather was warm this weekend.....in the 90s and hot. The girls spent most of the weekend planted on the deck with the little swimming pool and water table.
They dined on fruit leather and juice boxes
While Dad and Mom did this.....
Well, Ryan mostly planted - it was hard to bend over. We managed to decide which shrubs to plan and started planting some of the other beds. I commented to Ryan that the process seemed so much slower - he reminded me that we are 39 weeks pregnant and have a 2 and 4 year old that can be a major distraction.
Hopefully we will get the rest in the ground this week.
