Our trip!

Back to reality as we got back to PA and it was freezing.  We had never stayed at this resort before and
never done the all inclusive option.  The resort was fantastic for families and the all inclusive worked great for
our group.  This was the beach, it was perfect because there were very little waves and the sand was great for the kids

Brianna had a blast, she loved the strawberry drinks that they served.  I think it was only the second day and she was asking for a drink as soon as we arrived at the beach.

Aly loved the sand and the swimming

Overall we had a great trip - it was nice that the girls enjoyed themselves so much and had so many cousins to entertain them.

Squirrel Nuts and Child Labor

So the pictures are out of order but the weather has been super nice here the last couple of days.  Brianna spent some time helping dad clean out the truck - she sure loves her daddy!!!

Aly has been bringing home acorns from school in her jacket pockets.  They are consistently full of "squirrel nuts"  to feel our ever expanding population here at our house.  She spends quite a bit of time in the afternoon throwing them out for the squirrels.

Getting ready for Mexico

This morning the girls had their first swimming lessons since leaving CT.  We are getting ready to head to Mexico on Friday and figured it would be a good time to get into the water.

We spent some time looking for sandals for Aly which proved a little difficult in Jan.  We managed to find some and spent some time packing tonight.

Alabama Science Center

We had a great timeat the science center while in Alabama - we try to get to the local science center when we visit new places.  This one was one of the better ones - there was a ton of hands on exhibits for the girls and they loved to run from place to place.  I took tons of pics so I will post a few more.

Brianna really enjoyed the light bright set - she spent quite a lot of time there.  Aly liked the piano that you stepped on.

Overall we had a great time there.

Back from Alabama

We return from visiting Tara in Alabama late on Monday night.  The girls had a blast, despite two ear infections and colds.  I am sure that Aunt Tara is still busy disinfecting her house.  The girls did great on the flights and they are super excited to head to Mexico next week.

We were hoping to have some warmer weather in Alabama but it proved to be just as cold there.

Aly loved playing games with Aunt Tara - although we learned quickly that we could only play one time before we hit the meltdown mode if she lost - definitely Ryan's child.

Our House - continued

Since Ryan was in CT for Mon and Tues - we did some holiday reorganization and clean out of our playroom.  Besides the living room - this is where the girls live - 9 times out of 10 it is disasterous - we are working hard on cleaning up one activity before getting into another.

I really like where this room is - directly behind the kitchen and beside the living room.  If I am cooking or folding laundry - which I swear occupies a good portion of my day - I can hear and see the girls.  They are beginning to play pretty well together but still have their moments.  Currently Brianna is working on picking up - she likes to get out a bunch of things and then leave the room.  Aly is working on not tattling - which is really hard for her - to not tell mom everything Brianna is getting into.

We moved around some toys so all of the Christmas things would fit.  I would say the top toys have been the Leapster - which we use for traveling and the kitchen stuff.  Between the apron, mixer, and new food - we have goumet meals quite often.  Also, the play school  - Aly has been teaching us all about our letters - which is quite cute.

So here are a couple of pictures of the playroom:

Bye Bye Crib

Well the first time since March 2006, there is no one sleeping in the crib......Boo Hoo.  Last night Brianna insisted on sleeping in the bed, which is in her room.

This afternoon for nap - I did not even attempt the crib - it was a little sad honestly, I laid down next to her for a few minutes and BAM she was out.

I am glad that it is queen bed, because based on these pictures, it is apparent that she is still rolling around and moving quite a bit.

So much for waiting until we returned.
