Thanksgiving at School
Today the girls celebrated Thanksgiving at school. We brought in a vegetable and we shared a turkey lunch with Aly's class. They sang us a couple of songs and then we ate turkey dinner.

Holiday Pictures Gone Bad......
Hello Devil Children - apparently today was not the day to do the holiday shoot. We put the girls in their holiday dresses and I was trying to get pictures for our annual holiday calendar.
The first picture is Aly with the ornaments as horns - which is quite telling of our afternoon. I think that I shot over 100 pictures and maybe got 2 or 3 that I can use.

There was always someone not looking.......
or someone that makes silly faces........

Check out our playroom!
Hard to believe that the first room done in the house is the playroom!
Our curtains arrived today - an amazing woman made them for me here in PA. We put them up this morning and I am so excited.
The girls have been really enjoying this room - which has been nice. The weather here was 70 today so we spent most of the morning outside getting the garage settled and riding our bikes.

Turkeys
We took a break from unpacking this afternoon to make our house a little messier!
We made some Thanksgiving turkeys. We painted, and traced and used markers - it was glorious. I made the girls strip while we painted since I could only find permanent brown paint.
On the home front, Ryan left last night for Hong Kong - he did arrive safely - we have exchanged e-mails and he is adjusting to the time change.
We are still working on the unpacking we made it through a ton of clothes and the upstairs is looking a little more settled.

It is my birthday........I can wear what I want!
We moved....and we got sick. Well Brianna got sick, croup and a double ear infection. So we had a low key birthday. We made cookies, and we finally got to bring them to school today.
We are slowly getting settled. Here are a few glimpses of our new playroom. We got Brianna a kitchen for her birthday and she has been cooking away ever since.

Happy Halloween
Things are busy here, we had a great Halloween with our friends the MacGregors! Their neighborhood was packed with kids and despite the rain we managed to hit about 10 or so houses.
We are getting ready to move on Thursday, so many people have commented that we were in temporary housing for such a short period. Man - it has not felt that short to us, and we are SUPER excited to get into our new digs.
The girls start gymnastics tonight. They are so excited about it. Hopefully I will get some pictures up before the move.

We are on the move....
Well, not until next Thursday, but I cannot wait to get into our house.
As we have started to see it all come together I am getting so excited.
This weekend we were over there putting hardware in the cabinets and checking how the progress was coming.
Aly found her room - she was soo excited that they must have known she wanted a purple room.
More pictures to come...

Dear State of PA and my Health Insurance Company
Dear State of PA and my wonderful health insurance company,
It would have been really nice if you had forwarned me that you have no flu shot vaccines left in the state for children under 3. It really is not all that convenient for me to be driving a 7 HOUR roundtrip next Wed so that I can have my children vaccinated by our WONDERFUL pediatrician back in CT.
I like to think that I have patience, but spending multiple hours in a car with my small children only to take them to a place that is going to make them both cry is really not what I would call a joyous roadtrip.
My insurance company when I called them for my options was oh so helpful when they let me know, they have "no idea" where I could find such vaccine but surely it was important to get not only the flu but also the H1N1 "as soon as possible" - Gee Thanks for the info.
I mean seriously - how is it that of the 10 pediatricians I called in PA - no one has the flu shot and they have never seen the H1N1 vaccine and CT has plenty to go around?????
Okay I am done my rant!

Hauntless House
Tonight we went to the kids school for the Hauntless House.
They had soo much fun. We played games and decorated bags and raised money for a great cause.
I have been so impressed with this school.
On another note, everyone thought Brianna was a boy, go figure. She loved the dragon - and has a great ROAR!!!
